This is an opportunity for you to do your little bit and contribute towards creating leaders from our disadvantaged youth.
There are 15 sponsors affiliated. Our major sponsors thus far are Dimension Data Port Elizabeth who provided uniform and stationery items to 33 learners in December 2012, Small Enterprise Development Agency that provided office furniture to the organisation to the value of R40 000 in 2013 and The NMB Stadium which availed 34 learner tracksuits in 2014, we trust that you will follow suit.
The program is creatively structured for you to assist for a minimum period of a year to up to whatever years you feel comfortable. Participation is divided in two categories:
A. As an individual sponsor – where you are allocated a learner with her needs for a year and you become their sponsor for the year
B. As a corporate company – where a list of program needs are presented to your business as a Social Enterprise Development (SED) beneficiary
The business will have an opportunity to visit the schools and learners and build a relationship and the company will make a decision on how to support.
Sponsorship is not payable to us nor to the learning child’s parents but it is payable directly to the providers i.e. to the school for fees or to the uniform store for uniform or to the service providers for tutoring lessons etc. Nonetheless, should the sponsor prefer to have Nankumntwana as a facilitating agent, we are more than happy to avail that service.
